A 'famille verte' rouleau vase the cylindrical sides surmounted by a straight neck with galleried rim, the body painted in bright enamels with a maiden and two female attendants, one carrying a large dragon banner, riding in a carriage pushed by two footmen, and accompanied by other maidens on horseback carrying bows and arrows and swords, the party being greeted by horsemen wearing armour, in a continuous landscape of jagged rocks and trees, the angular shoulders encircled with bamboo vignettes and flowerheads reserved on a turquoise-green diaper band, and the neck with a continuous lakeside scene below a green key-fret border on the mouth, the base inscribed with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark in underglaze blue 46 cm
