A French painted porcelain figural mantel clock in the manner of Jacob Petit, mid-19th century, the movement marked 'Laine รก Paris', bell striking, the white-enamelled Roman numeral dial with beaded ormolu bezel within a case modelled with foliate decoration surmounted with the figure of a girl in Turkish costume, polychrome and gilt-painted throughout. Height 37 cm. Width 25.5 cm. Depth 12.5 cm.
