A fine Chamberlain's, Worcester, painted ewer, mid-19th century, the body of slender baluster form with a foliate pouring mouth and a loop handle with a fantastic animal's head terminal, the shoulder modelled with fruiting grapevine, extensive gilding throughout, the cobalt-glazed body with a reserve to each side painted with a floral spray, painted 'Chamberlain's Worcester' mark underside. Height 33 cm.
