A Royal Worcester ewer painted by George Johnson, date mark for 1909 (' - rubbed), body shape 1309 of squat baluster shape with a shaped pouring mouth and an elaborate scrolling foliate handle, raised and gilt foliate details to the shoulder, handle, and foot, the neck and body sky blue, the body painted to one side flying geese and foliage, signed, the other side with a single swallow, printed factory marks underside. Height 26.5 cm.
