A Doulton Burslem painted vase, 1890s, the flared mouth and long neck above a globular body on a spreading foot, a pair of loop handles to the shoulder, ivory ground all over with gilt handles and details, the body painted and gilt to both sides with flowering foliage, the neck and foot with stylized gilt decoration, impressed number 6389 underside together with impressed and printed factory marks. Height 31.5 cm.
