Carlton Ware 'Grecian figures' tea pot and stand, circa 1896, decoration pattern 604, registration number 289951'sprigged-Ware' in alternating bands of grey-green tones divided by gilt lines, the spreading cylindrical body applied with a continuous frieze of Apollo and the muses in white relief below a band of linked floral garlands to the top, the cover and circular stand conforming, the crown and swallow printed factory mark and painted decoration number underside.
