An antique figured walnut and ebonized box, third quarter 19th century, rectangular with slightly chamfered edges and a hinged top, the top and front with ebonized, cross-banded, and brass-strung borders, the top with a geometric mother-of-pearl centre-piece engraved 'Susie', the escutcheon conforming, the interior fabric-lined. Height 14 cm. Width 27 cm. Depth 20 cm.
