A Doulton Burslem gilt and painted porcelain vase, by Robert Allen, circa 1897-1899 (marked to the base Ra 2505) of tall conical form with an undulating flared rim and moulded scrolling foot, cream and burgundy glazed and with painted and raised gilt decoration throughout including opposed cartouches painted with flowers, the mouth gilt, printed factory mark to base.
