A large French painted porcelain vase, latter half, 19th century, the flared rim and waisted neck above the cylindrical body on a moulded foot, a pair of pierced handles to the shoulder, glazed in milk white and cobalt bands and richly gilt-decorated throughout with floral and trailing designs and bands, one side of the body painted with a scene of a Renaissance maiden on a balcony. Height 48.5 cm
