An Australian cedar and upholstered sofa Tasmania, circa 1820, the rectangular padded back with square arm rests above a cushion seat with bolster cushions, raised on ring turned tapering legs, upholstered in agate 'Lelivre Damas Orion', 202 cm wide, 72 cm deep, 85 cm high. Note: stylistically this sofa shows, the influence of the popular English designs of Hepplewhite and Sheraton. Reference: A.
