A Doucai 'Lotus Pond' saucer dish, Qing Dynasty, 18th century, the interior painted with a medallion enclosing a pair of Mandarin ducks, one swimming in a lotus pool, the other in flight above, within a double circle and a border of alternating iron-red and underglaze-blue shou characters around the lipped rim, the underside with a continuous frieze of ducks and lotus rising from rippling water, the base inscribed with a pseudo seal mark within a double circle 20.
