A New Zealand silver ladle by Alfred Charles Atkinson (1863-1941). The bowl modelled as a trough shell, the simple stem terminating in a pierced cone shell design. Marked to the stem with the artist’s monogram and cipher. Reference ‘Gold & Silversmithing in 19th & 20th century New Zealand’ by Winsome Shepherd, page 91. Length 18.5 cm
