Description: A pair of early Victorian Minton vases and covers, the covers surmounted with floral decorated cupid finials. The vases each of Dresden shape, with cylindrical flared form, set on a rococo moulded base. Painted with chrome green cartouche of Watteau scene and Smiths flower on reverse, with gilt highlights. Reference Minton porcelain Geoffrey Godden 1793-1850. Restoration to one vase. Height 44 cm. Model number 219. Circa 1840 Provenance: Purchased from Max Carey in the early 1980's.
