Fina World Record Certificate: 'F.I.N.A., We hereby certify that the performance of J.Konrads, 880 yards Freestyle 9 min 17,7 sec made on Nov.1.1958 at Sydney, passed by Amateur Swimming Union of Australia is a World?S Record, confi rmed in compliance with the Rules of the Federation Internationale de Natation Amateur', signed by Jan de Vries (Fina President) & Bertil Sallfors, framed, overall 50 x 65 cm. Condition A+. This was John Konrads' fi rst world record. Interestingly, the date on the certificate is incorrect as the record was set in mid January 1958
