A French 19th century boulle mantel clock, Churet, Paris the ebonised case with brass inlaid tortoiseshell to the front and sides with gilt bronze cast cockerel surmount and foliate scrolled mounts to the body, the brass and enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with a twin barrelled gong-striking movement with external countwheel and anchor escapement, with a sun-cast pendulum, the back plate stamped E.C 8432 27 cm wide, 12 cm deep, 52 cm high
