A Burmese Buddha in Shan style, in gilded wood on black lacquer, standing with right hand in abhaya mudra and a begging bowl in his left hand, dressed in a simple robe over one shoulder, the face with serene expression and gentle smile, the eyes downcast in meditation and framed by pendulous ear lobes and hair in small tight curls covering his usnisha and culminating in a double flame finial, the whole on a waisted wooden pedestal base, 55 cm high
