A Chinese lacquered export sewing table, circa 1860 Decorated throughout with gilt figurative vignettes on a black lacquered ground, the rectangular table top with shell shaped corners above a shallow compartment containing a fitted interior with further lacquered trays and lids, all raised upon a twin pedestal stretcher base with clawed feet, (some cracking to lacquer and loss to gilt), 64 x 70.5 x 43 cm.
