A blue and white circular plaque, Ming Dynasty, Wanli period, decorated in vivid blue with a dignitary in a garden setting, surrounded by attendants and soldiers, one holding a parasol over his head, another kneeling offering gifts to a lady accompanied by an attendant standing on a terrace nearby, the rim and reverse unglazed 19. 7 cm diameter.
