Gwen Watson, a substantial earthenware lidded urn with a separate display plinth, the cylindrical body decorated in low relief scenes of mermaids surmounted by a domed cover with looped finial, the whole supported by a mermaid trio seated and with arms up stretched sculpted in high relief, all glazed cream and with applied copper bands, painted signature to base, (restoration to verso), 52 cm total height, signed G.G.
