Soldiers letters, one written by private Elias Butterbaugh (regiment Unknown) from David's island Hospital N.Y dated 31 st June 1865 to his father and mother advising them how much longer he will be in hospital. Another written by Surgeon W . J McKim form army hospital in Vicksburg dated 28th July 1864.Complete with cover and 3 cent stamp to his friend John Hewes of canton County Ohio advising that he has been placed in charge of Hospital No 2 Written by Thomas Moore from Camp Defiance, Cairo Illinois, dated 15th July 1861 to his mother, advising her he expects to be discharged soon letter complete with patriotic envelope and red stamp. Envelope with 3 cent pink stamp, cancelled 11th June 1864, addressed to Saratoga Hospital, James D Lees, Company F, 7th Regt, VRC, Washington DC.
