A Katabori type wood netsuke Unsigned, early 19th century A well detailed netsuke depicting the famous Nitta no Shiro killing the wild boar, with double inlaid ivory and horn eyes, 4.5 cm wide. Nitta no Shiro, also known as Tadatsune, was hunting with Yoritomo, the famous Genji hunt of late 12th century on the banks of Mt. Fuji, when Yoritomo was attacked by a wild boar.
