A Katabori type ivory and wood seal netsuke early 19th century featuring frollicking puppies with inlaid eyes on a mushroom, the stem of which forms a natural himotoshi, a shishi sits atop a square form, the entire piece carved so the seals can be used independently, 3.5 cm wide, probably used by a merchant, perhaps born in the year of the dog
