A large cloisonne (Koro) incense burner, Meiji period (1868-1912) attributed to the Hayashi Kodenji Studio, the compressed form two handled body supported on three tripod feet, the body decorated with two panels, one depicting a pair of peacocks amongst blossoming trees, the other showing water birds in shallow water below hanging wisteria, the openwork cover with chrysanthemum modelled finial, silver wirework through out, (losses to finial).
