A rectangular snuff box with monogram, by Thomas Shaw, Birmingham 1832 the lid with a cast thumb piece, and engraved engine turning, a circular cartouche with initials 'Jc', the base with similar engine turning, the sides with reeding, gilt interior. Height 1.75 cm. Length 7.75 cm. Depth 5 cm, weight 88gms.
