A casket shaped snuff box, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1846 rectangular waisted and with applied floral scroll border raised by plain shoulders in from the edges of the lid, similar less bold mouldings to the top and bottom edges, the lid with a rectangular cartouche in an engine turned border, engraved with a crest within a circular strap and buckle motto above 'Mary ring', the base engine turned with an applied foot wire within the plain shoulders, interior gilt. Height 2.5 cm. Length 7.5 cm. Depth 4.75 cm, weight 116gms.
