A French gilt gorge cased carriage clock, by Henri, Paris, late 19th century, 8-day strike and platform lever escapement, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the hinged handle elaborately carved with reclining back to back putti with scrolling terminals supporting a wreath and garland, the case with a female and male figure on urn shaped base to each chamfered corner, the glazed panels between borders of scrolling foliage and everlasting knots, raised on a hexagonal platform base decorated with trailing vine leaf tendrils the movement stamped Henri, Paris15 cm high
