A fine French early 19th century gilt-bronze clock, by Jean-Antoine LepineThe circular white enamel dial inscribed Lepine, Horloger du Roi, within a square case decorated with profile medallions joined by ribbon-tied floral garlands, flanked to the side by a standing female figure dressed in classical robes, holding a lyre, on a square base with laurel wreaths and names of philosophers, Homere, Virgile, tasse, Racine and Voltaire, on small bun feet.
