19th century Rare and Important Boxed Airtu Ahwito. A fungus considered sacred and used as an indelible dye in tattooing. Burnt to a cinder and mixed with dog's fat and soot. What ever remained after each use was carefully preserved and handed down from father to son. Length 8.5 cm
