An Australian cedar and line inlaid library table, circa 1835, with a single drawer and restoration to back edge, the rectangular top with thumb moulded edge above a pine strung frieze with a central short drawer, raised on turned tapering legs; 143 cm wide, 73 cm deep, 75 cm high; Note This library table was designed for use in the middle of the room and because of this it is decorated on all four sides and the top has a continuous thumb nail edge with rounded corners; Provenance: The John Buttsworth Collection; Literature Australian Colonial Furniture, A Guidebook by John Buttsworth, Colonial Living Press, 1987, page 114, plate 52
