Description:		19th Century China, Qing Dynasty: Large tall cylindrical bronze bell topped by a Heavenly Lion, as a handle. The sides divided into four vertical sections with a top layer of studs in four neat rows, above calligraphy poem also repeated. Reads: 'Ji Mien Wei Ru Shang rien mien yi, Zhi Sheng, Zhu x ing wu Chang' (Keep silence out of this world, you will be happy - out of the way is your hope, everything is not permanent). Height: 90 cm, diameter: 40 cm. Very good condition
