Description:
Exceptional Pair of Exhibition Coalport Pate Sur Pate Covered Vases, Three panelled with rectangular column framing. Gilded relief tracery to the panels, circular base, feet, neck and cover. Red and jewelling frontis panel on one a pate sur pate winged female and putti the other with a female putti and flowing diaphanous robe. The smaller panels with floral pate sur pate adornment. By Thomas Bott 1829-1870 painter for Coalport and Worcester, a prestigious client of Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales.
