An impressive Royal Doulton Sung jardiniere, by Charles Noke, circa 1920-28, of oval form, decorated with firebird on a rich mottled gold and cobalt ground flashed in sang de boeuf, the interior in sang de boeuf lustre, printed and painted marks, model No. 746. Width 44 cm. Depth 24.5 cm. Height 27.2 cm. Provenance: Included in the Courier post New Zealand Royal Doulton Exhibition 1992-93, item B125.
