A Royal Doulton Chang chalice form vase, by Charles Noke, Harry Nixon and F. Allen, circa 1925-30s, with tapered foot, the interior and exterior richly glazed in a thick lava-like glaze in tones of buff red, ochre and blue on mottled red ground, the foot decorated with a band of stylised foliage, painted signatures and marks, original paper Doulton & Co labels. Height 22 cm. Provenance: Included in the Courier post New Zealand Royal Doulton Exhibition 1992-93, item B165.
