A rare Worcester porcelain pink peacock-feather banded and gilt oval lattice-work twin-handled basket, painted in the London atelier of James Giles with fruit, sliced nuts and flowers. English circa 1770. Provenance: Rous Lench Collection Worcester no 507. Albert Amor Ltd London 17/05/1995 (8000 pounds). Robert Burke collection no 110. Reference: Worcester Porcelain, Dinah Reynolds plate 30 page 69 no 51 for a very similar basket with the same pink border, 23 cm long across the handles, 19 cm wide, 10 cm high
