A very rare large Chelsea porcelain 'Hans Sloane' type botanical bell-shaped mug, decorated with sprigs of flowers. English, circa 1755, red anchor mark. Provenance: Albert Amor Ltd London 04/06/2019 (2800 pounds). Robert Burke collection. Reference: Amor notes that this exaggerated baluster form, which relates to a German stoneware shape of the early 18th century, appears to be unrecorded in the Chelsea literature. 10.5 cm diameter at the mouth, 10.5 cm high
