A very rare Chelsea porcelain lobed circular dish, painted with two horses in landscape by Jefferyes Hamett O'Neale. English circa 1750/52, raised anchor mark. Provenance: Simon Spero Exhibition 1993, item 3. The Billie Pain Collection. Sold Bonhams London 26 November 2003 Lot 29 (13,145 pounds). Robyn Robb England 22/9/2004 (16,500 pounds). Robert Burke Collection no 237. Reference: This shape does not seem to have been accompanied by a tea-bowl or beaker and is always found painted with a pair of animals. 11.3 cm wide 3.4 cm deep
