Description:
Patu onewa, 19th century stone hand club, of traditional form, rounded base with a few very small chips off one side of blade. Short cylindrical handle and hourglass suspension hole oval knob with four concentric ridges and one at the centre. Entire surface polished over hammer-dressing. Length 39.5 cm. Provenance: Estate of John Lawford.
