Centre is a .22 ct, round brilliant cut, Argyle pink diamond, 5P colour, SI2 clarity (original Argyle lot # 236515), accented on shank with four, round brilliant cut diamonds of estimated total weight .12 cts, G colour, VS clarity. Ring size N. Finished weight 3.55 grams. Australian valuation and certificate available. Argyle pink diamonds are extremely rare, since 1983 the Argyle mine in Western Australia, produced more than 90% of the world?s supply of pink diamonds, this mine unearthed approximately 15 million carats of rough diamonds a year from which only 1% was pink. Now the mine is closed and there are no other sources in the world known to have a consistent production comparable to Argyle?s iconic colours, hence their rarity and value.
