An important cedar Palladian-back two-door wardrobe attributed to Jospeh Sly Sydney. Australian circa 1840. with interior boot compartments. Provenance: Similar to a design based on G.Smith (1808) and W.Smee and. sons (1,850) pages 52 and 56 Pictorial Dictionary of British 19th Century Furniture Design. A similar Palladian wardrobe stamped Sly was sold at Mossgreen, 7 December 2005 Somercotes Tasmania lot 18, 230 cm wide, 220 cm high, 62 cm deep
