A George V officers sword, engraved H.G.Meek, shagreen hilt,leather scabbard, Arms of Joseph Meek of Tanderagee, County Down and, Woollahra, New South Wales, by Richard d'Apice AM AIH, The day following the death of his father Joseph Meek on 12 April 1934, Harold George Meek purchased from the trustees of the South Head Cemetery1 on Old South Head Road in Vaucluse in the eastern suburbs of Sydney the rights of burial in graves 30 and 31 S-S-GE and interred his father in grave 30.2, He later arranged the construction of a simple low sandstone monument covering the two graves (Figure 1), beneath which the remains of his mother, Harriet Brown Meek (interred 14 April 1955), his sister, Irene Hope Meek (interred 11 November 1992) and himself (interred 21 October 1959) in due course joined those of his father. Overall length 99 cm, blade 82 cm long
