A pair of Scottish sterling silver figural table salt cellars, with maker's mark for Hamilton & Inches (Edinburgh), stamped sterling, circa 1890, the pair of novelty sterling silver table salts, finely cast and modelled as a young couple of gardeners in 18th century dress standing on elaborate rococo bases, each holding a large woven basket in both hands, with maker's mark to the side of the base and stamped 'Sterling', made for export to the United States.
