A large Carlton Ware 'Mikado' bowl, pattern 4433, body shape 298 (largest), second quarter 20th century, the circular bowl painted to the interior with oriental ladies in pagodas and bridges landscape with kissing birds in flight above, on a 'Rouge Royale' ground, with elements of the design to the exterior, the exterior rim with gilt 'Wagon-wheel' border and the interior rim with a foliate gilt border, with printed script mark to the underside. Height 12 cm, diameter: 26 cm
