N.S.W. Rowing Association silver medal, engraved verso '1889 Maiden Eights Won by East Sydney R.C. J. McIVER (6)'. One other example known in the Sir William Sixson Collection at the State Library of N.S.W. The New South Wales Rowing Association (Nswra) was formed in 1878 in response to a challenge from Victoria for a race to be held in 1879. Three clubs were part of the Association at the time of formation.
