A cased marine chronometer by Jean-Francois-Henri Motel, early 19th century, with a fusee movement, regulator style signed dial and movement, helical hair spring with pivoted detent escapement by Louis Berthoud, numbered 151, the diameter of the bezel 90 mm, the internal box 13 cm high, 15 cm wide, 14.5 cm deep. Other Notes: Jean-Francois Henri Motel was the prized student of the renowned horologer Louis Berthoud inheriting his business as official supplier of chronometers to the French Navy.
