Australian South Sea pearl necklace with gem-set clasp and emerald and diamond pendant, circa 1880, composite; designed as a collar, comprising of a line of 30 cultured pearls measuring approximately 11.10 mm to 12.00 mm, set to the front with a platinum topped 15ct gold openwork plaque of fleur-de-lis design centring a claw-set square-cut emerald weighing approximately 2.00 carats, framed by old cut diamonds, completed by an oblong platinum cabochon emerald and diamond-set clasp, the diamonds together weighing approximately 6.77 carats, inner circumference 430 mm, pendant length 55 mm, pendant width 49 mm, total gross weight approximately 85 grams.
