Attributed Emanuel Teter (born in Salzburg circa 1780) fine 19th century hand painted oil on ivory of Miss Grace Rose, the young Miss Rose stands with blushed cheeks wearing a white silk dress with blue ribbon highlights and shoes, holding a flower filled basket and floral spray, within an extensive landscape. In quality decorative ormolu frame. 30.5 x 26 cm. Provenance: From a Devonport estate. Ex. David Cooke Antiques with letter of provenance 'Purchased by me in 1958. When purchased it was in a specially made oak box with lock was written 'Miss Grace Rose Sister of Mrs. Gertrude Rose of Mullaghcarn, Monaghan, Ireland'. Together with biographical details.
