Swiss silver consular cased quarter repeater pocket watch, by Vaucher Freres, number 9322 c.1840, signed and numbered to the dust cover and plate back. Key wind, lever escapement. Plunger actuated repeater. 55 mm case, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, one-minute indices, 5-minute Arabic indices, gold hands. Vaucher Freres was a watch manufacturer founded by Claude and Cesar Vaucher based in Fleurier and Canton, operating from 1800 to 1866.
