14ct gold, open face pocket watch by Spaulding & Co, Chicago, with Swiss split seconds chronograph movement, number 7375, 51 mm plain case, c.1920, marked 14k, with internal 14k gold dust cover, engraved with owner's name. Fine nickelled Swiss split seconds chronograph movement, signed and marked 'Swiss, Adjusted, Pat.', lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, rail track minutes, split seconds indices, five-minute intervals in red Arabic numerals, sunk subs seconds dial at 6, blued steel hands, centre seconds and split seconds hands activated by pusher at 11. 77gm
