A Bowai club, Fiji, used for both parrying and attacking in combat. Carved from a dense hardwood and highly polished. This pole club has been shaped into a long cylindrical form with a faint flare at the end of the shaft with a rounded butt. At the handle is incisedwith zig-zag geometric patterns. With a dark brown finish. Length 112 cm
