Faberge Russian Imperial antique silver and enamel cigarette case, with rose-cut diamonds to the clasp, a silver-gilt portrait of Peter the great facing right; the reverse with an Imperial double-headed eagle; the portrait enhanced with a ruby cabochon. Presented in the original Faberge lined case. Hallmarked '88', 'A*H'. 160 grams overall; 8 x 9.5 cm; the box 12.5 x 14 cm. Faberge Workmaster August Frederik Hollming (1854 - 1915), born in Finland, apprenticed in 1876, was elevated to 'Workmaster' in 1880, he specialised in all types of cases.
